The onion, Latin "Allium cepa", is a species of the leek genus.

It is widely known as the "table onion".
The most common variant is probably the yellow-skinned onion.
It is "spicier" than the rather mild and slightly sweet red-skinned or white-skinned onions.
HNG mainly trades yellow onions in the common sizes of 40-60 mm, 50-70 mm and 70-90 mm.
